Tim Robbins: A Chill Wind is Blowing Out His Shorts

The following is a revised Transcript of the speech given by actor Tim Robbins to the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on April 15, 2003.

TIM ROBBINS: "Thank you. And thanks for the inviation. I had originally been asked here to talk about the war and our current political situation, as well as how my important role in Bull Durham affected the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, but instead I have chosen to hijack this opportunity to talk about French Fries."

"I can't tell you how moved I have been at the overwhelming support I blah blah blah blah blah French Fries blah blah blah Fries blah blah blah French blah blah blah French Fries."

Millions watched and waited in mute frustration and horror, hoping for someone to tell Robbins to shut the hell up, talkin' bout "Blah blah blah blah blah French Fries blah blah blah Fries blah blah blah French blah blah blah French Fries blah blah blah blah blah French Fries blah blah blah Fries blah blah blah French blah blah blah French Fries blah blah blah.".

Robbins went on to say "We must honor and fight vigilantly for the things that unite us --like French Fries, my ugly wife, and yes--baseball."

blah blah blah French Fries blah blah blah Fries blah blah blah French blah blah blah French Fries blah blah blah blah blah French Fries blah blah blah Fries blah blah blah French blah blah blah French Fries blah blah blah blah blah blah French Fries blah blah blah Fries blah blah blah French blah blah blah French Fries blah blah blah blah blah French Fries blah blah blah Fries blah blah blah French blah blah blah French Fries.

Actor Tim Robbins, waving his finger at "...intimidation that is visited upon us daily in the name of national security and patriotism." Wait--our sources close by tell us that in fact no--he is just demanding more French Fries.
